Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing group, focusing on data center facilities and mission‑critical environments. You will design power distribution systems, UPS, grounding, and lighting while collaborating with clients and contractors in a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary team. The role offers flexibility to be located anywhere in the U.S.

with a hybrid working model. A Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and PE license are preferred, along with data center

Qualifications

• 6 year experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus‑style power distribution including conveyance.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design.
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications systems.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams and interact with clients, owners, and contractors.
• Review and quality‑check design packages and support construction on site as needed.
• Mentor and contribute to development opportunities within the team.
