Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – SME to serve as the technical authority for electrical infrastructure supporting hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities. You will shape electrical strategy from utility interconnection through the IT load, providing direction, independent reviews, client guidance, and mentorship.

Leading MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, and paralleling, you will drive design governance, ensure quality, and support RFIs

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• PE License – active Electrical PE in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 15–20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience in data centers or similar high-reliability facilities.
• Advanced expertise in MV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, UPS, and paralleling.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower or equivalents.
• Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 110, IEEE 1584 and related standards.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Aufgaben

• Lead electrical architecture, design basis of design, and major decisions from utility to IT load.
• Provide senior technical leadership for MV/LV distribution, substations, switchgear, generator plants and UPS systems.
• Review and approve load flow, short-circuit, protective coordination, arc-flash studies.
• Ensure design governance through independent reviews across project teams.
• Support project delivery from concept through procurement, construction, commissioning and turnover.
