Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Engineering Intern to apply standard engineering techniques to design, correct and update projects while supporting lead engineers on multiple duties. You will assist with filing, data entry and documentation, participate in continuous improvement by analyzing data, and present solutions to project concerns under the guidance of managers.

The internship offers exposure across multiple market sectors including Aviation & Federal, Power, Global

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized, accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
