Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Wallingford, CT to support Transmission & Distribution design and related project tasks. You will assist engineers with filing, data entry, documentation, and PowerPoint presentations, while engaging in data analysis and continuous improvement efforts.

The role requires pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET preferred), maintaining a 3.0 GPA, and being legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a post-secondary education/technical program related to the work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship/related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus or community involvement preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn; capable of growth within the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Education

Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
