Job summary

Central Plains Cement Company is seeking an Automation Technician to support PLC/HMI programming and plant network systems at our Missouri cement facility. The role develops proficiency in automation hardware, software, and process optimization through collaboration with the Production and Process Engineering teams.

You will learn and apply PLC, HMI, PID tuning, and plant IT skills, with on-site training and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
1 year experience in process systems in cement manufacturing or related field.
Team collaboration to improve plant operations.
On-call responsibilities in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

Participate in team-based safety teams and learn safe operating practices.
Learn programmable logic controller (PLC) software and hardware.
Learn to program the Human Machine Interface (HMI) and work with Production to optimize trends, reporting, alarms, and displays.
Learn plant networks and ensure proper utilization and reliability.
Learn the plant WEB server and plant computers.
Become responsible for plant computers and other components of the business network.
Participate in improving automation through high level control systems.
