Job summary

The French's Food Company in Springfield, MO is seeking a Maintenance Electrician – Automation Technician to support electrical distribution and control systems at the plant. You will troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs, design changes to HMIs and ladder logic, and calibrate instrumentation to keep operations running smoothly.

The role coordinates with outside contractors on capital projects, designs and implements computer programs to improve plant data flow, and uses AutoCAD to update electrical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required; technical training preferred.
• At least 3 years manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Experience with industrial electrical controls.
• Knowledge of PLC programming.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and team skills.
• Self-starter and problem-solver.
• Rotating 12-hour shift; hours can vary.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots plant PLC equipment; resolves problems via ladder logic changes.
• Troubleshoots electrical control and power wiring; updates wiring as needed.
• Oversees capital projects and outside contractors in electrical areas.
• Develops and implements new electrical controls and systems.
• Collaborates with plant staff to optimize electrical/electronic systems.
• Uses AutoCAD and other programs to update documentation and prints.
• Performs general mechanical duties as required.
• Conducts training for maintenance personnel and equipment operators.
