Job summary

Nevada-Cement-Company is seeking an Industrial Automation Technician to develop, monitor, and troubleshoot PLC logic and HMI controls at our Fernley site. You will install and test network infrastructure and process instrumentation, maintain backups, and diagnose hardware and software issues.

The role requires reading electrical schematics, strong Microsoft Office skills, and independence to meet deadlines while supporting QA/QC procedures across projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; automation degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year PLC programming experience with Modicon EcoStruxure.
• Must have experience with GE iFix for HMI development.
• Familiar with IP addressing and Modbus protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and troubleshoot PLC logic and HMI controls.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot network infrastructure and process instrumentation.
• Maintain backups for PLC programs, Historian archives, iFix database and pictures.
• Diagnose and repair PLC hardware, PCs, network, and security issues.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures in development, testing and documentation.
• Assist in project planning including budgeting, materials and labor resources.
