Sargent & Lundy is seeking engineers to join a nuclear power-focused team in a hybrid role, with three days in office and two remote. You will apply electrical engineering concepts to design and analyze power systems for nuclear plant projects, performing calculations, load-flow studies, and cable assessments.

The role offers training, mentorship, and opportunities to travel for design reviews and field coordination, aligning with your academic background and growth in power engineering.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with a strong academic background in electrical power concepts/power systems analysis.
• Understanding of practical application of electrical engineering to project design.
• Knowledge of design techniques and producing technical plans, drawings, and models.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• ABET-accredited degree is preferred; one year of power systems design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Electrical systems design.
• Preparation of complex calculations.
• Load flow and short circuit analysis.

• System Impact and cable ampacity assessments.
• Preparation of documented design inputs and equipment/material specifications.
• Preparation of design reports.
