Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Englewood, CO is seeking a nuclear-focused electrical engineer to join a project team working on design, modification, and analysis of electrical systems for power plants. This hybrid role requires three days in the office.

You will prepare detailed calculations, review drawings, and assist the lead or PM to deliver projects on time and within budget while collaborating with engineers and designers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical systems design in a project team environment.
• Experience with medium and low voltage distribution, transformers, generators, motors.
• Experience reviewing design drawings.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Teamwork and ability to work independently.
• Detail oriented approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Work on electrical systems design and analysis for nuclear power plant projects.
• Prepare calculations including short-circuit, voltage drop, motor starting, and relay settings.
• Review and prepare engineering drawings and design inputs.
• Assist the lead or PM to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery.
• Provide independent reviews of others' calculations and drawings.
