Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Knoxville offers a hybrid role, with three days a week in the office and two remote days. You will work on electrical power systems for nuclear plants, performing detailed design, calculations, and equipment specifications in collaboration with a team of engineers.

Essential responsibilities include load flow, short-circuit, and power flow analyses, plus design reviews and client liaison.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 3+ years in electrical power systems design for plants or upgrades.
• Experience with medium/low voltage distribution, transformers, generators, motors.
• Experience as firm/client liaison in lead engineering role.
• Ability to review drawings and perform calculations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; teamwork and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Electrical systems design for nuclear power projects.
• Prepare calculations, load flow and short circuit analyses.
• Develop power distribution designs and equipment specifications.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for design reviews and field verification.
