Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an electrical engineer for its nuclear power group in a hybrid schedule. The role focuses on designing and analyzing electrical systems for existing plants, with in-office work three days weekly in Peachtree Corners, GA.

You will review design changes, perform power studies, and coordinate with cross-discipline teams and clients to deliver reliable, compliant solutions. ABET degree and 5+ years in nuclear/industrial design preferred.

Qualifications

• An electrical engineering degree from ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years in electrical design for industrial or nuclear plants.
• Experience with equipment selection and design change packages.
• Knowledge of low/medium voltage distribution and protective relays.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to badge for nuclear access

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review design change packages to upgrade plant equipment.
• Prepare calculations for AC/DC power studies, short circuit, and voltage drop.
• Prepare procurement specifications and support vendor questions.
• Interface with project team across Mechanical, Structural, Civil, I&C disciplines.
• Attend client meetings and site field walkdowns to validate scope.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for design reviews and construction coordination.
• Support site installation activities during project execution.
• Assist the project manager to meet schedule and budget.
