Job summary

Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of consulting experience in medium- and high-voltage power systems. You will design HV distribution and management systems for renewable energy projects, perform electrical studies, and prepare full construction packages up to 200 kV.

You will collaborate with civil and structural teams, mentor juniors, and support field personnel. PE licensure or progress toward it within six months is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in electrical engineering; PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum 5 years in consulting with focus on medium- and high-voltage power system design.
• Experience preparing electrical construction drawings, specs, submittals, and construction administration.

Responsibilities

• Design medium- and high-voltage power distribution and management systems for renewable energy projects.
• Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and full construction packages for up to 200 kV.
• Lead QA/QC to ensure standards compliance.
• Provide technical support to field personnel for HV systems.
• Conduct electrical studies: short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, relay coordination.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate across offices.
• Mentor engineers in the Power Market team.
• Travel occasionally for client meetings and field reviews.
