Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in medium- and high-voltage systems. You will design HV distribution for renewables, prepare construction packages up to 200 kV, and perform complex analyses.

Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and travel for site reviews are part of the role. The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering, a PE license (or ability to obtain within six months), and 5+ years of HV consulting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum 5 years in consulting focusing on medium- and high-voltage design.
• Experience preparing electrical construction drawings and submittals.
• Understanding of protection studies and relay coordination.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and site reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design medium- and high-voltage distribution and management systems for renewables.
• Prepare specs, calculations, drawings, and construction packages up to 200 kV.
• Perform short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, and relay coordination analyses.
• Provide field technical support for HV collection systems and substations.
• Coordinate with civil and structural teams across offices and projects.
• Support project management tasks and mentor junior staff.
