Hanson Professional Services Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer specializing in medium- and high-voltage power systems for renewable energy projects.

You will design 15kV–200kV systems, develop construction packages, and support field teams across multiple offices. Required: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, PE licensure or progress toward licensure within six months, and 5+ years of consulting experience in HV design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain licensure within six months.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in consulting with a focus on medium- and high-voltage power system design.
• Demonstrated experience preparing electrical construction drawings, specifications, submittal reviews, and construction administration for power projects.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Design medium- and high-voltage power distribution and management systems for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, BESS, EV charging, microgrids).
• Conduct short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, and relay coordination studies.
• Prepare specs, calculations, drawings, and full construction packages up to 200 kV.
• Provide QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
• Mentor junior engineers within the Power Market team.
