Job summary

Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer for medium/high voltage power design for renewable energy projects. The role requires PE licensure or the ability to obtain within six months and a minimum of five years in HV consulting.

You will design 15–200 kV systems, prepare drawings, perform power studies, and support construction administration while coordinating with civil/structural teams across offices. Travel is occasional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain licensure within six months.
• Minimum of 5 years of consulting experience in medium- and high-voltage power system design.

Responsibilities

• Design medium- and high-voltage power distribution and management systems for renewable energy projects.
• Prepare construction packages including drawings and specs for up to 200 kV.
• Provide QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
• Support field personnel with HV collection systems and substations.
• Perform electrical studies (short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, etc.).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with multiple offices.
