Job summary
Hanson Professional Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking an Electrical Engineer- Medium/High Voltage. You will design medium- and high-voltage power distribution and management systems for renewable energy projects, including substations up to 200 kV.
The role requires PE licensure (or ability to obtain within six months) and at least 5 years of consulting experience in medium- and high-voltage design, with responsibilities spanning drawings, specs, and project coordination.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within six months.
- Minimum 5 years of consulting experience in HV power system design.
Responsibilities
- Design medium- and high-voltage power distribution and management systems for renewable energy projects.
- Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and full construction packages for 15 kV–200 kV systems.
- Conduct quality assurance and control to meet standards.
- Provide technical support for HV systems up to 200 kV.
- Perform electrical studies including short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, and protection studies.
- Collaborate with civil and structural engineers and coordinate across offices.
- Participate in project management tasks and mentor junior staff.
