Job summary

Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design medium- and high-voltage power systems for renewable energy projects. The role requires PE licensure within six months and a minimum of five years in HV power design.

You'll prepare drawings and specs up to 200 kV, perform QA/QC, and support field personnel. Travel to client sites and offices is expected as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in consulting with HV power system design.
• Experience preparing electrical construction drawings and specifications.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design medium- and high-voltage power distribution and management systems for renewables.
• Prepare specifications, drawings, and construction packages up to 200 kV.
• Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure standards compliance.
• Provide technical support to field personnel for HV systems.
• Conduct electrical studies: short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, and more.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and travel occasionally.
• Mentor engineering staff within the Power Market team.
• Participate in project management activities and client meetings.
