Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Irvine, CA for a hybrid role in the Federal Buildings Group. You will coordinate, develop, and produce electrical design deliverables, progressing from basic design to more complex projects with a technical team. You will work on majority industrial projects, using IBC and Government requirements, with two in-office days weekly.

Requires BSEE, 5+ years’ experience, and REVIT proficiency; P.E. or on track is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors' Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience is required.
• Understanding of IBC and Accessibility Codes is required.
• Proficiency in REVIT is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings and specifications detailing the Electrical System designed.
• Prepare inspection and design reports and presentation materials.
• Support studio culture through mentoring, design development and other in-person activities.
• Participate in internal and external meetings and document discussions.
• Perform routine tasks under general supervision using well-defined standards, procedures, and codes.
• Travel to project sites or client offices as needed to meet contract requirements.
• Represents Jacobs, with internal and external personnel, on significant matters.
• Coordinate design with architects and other engineering disciplines.
• Perform product research; assist project designers and project architects with materials selection and system research.
