Job summary

Jacobs Solutions Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Federal Buildings Group to own the electrical design deliverables on industrial projects. The role requires coordination with a technical team and mentoring others to advance design development.

You will contribute to multidisciplinary collaboration, participate in meetings, and ensure timely, accurate documentation while meeting project requirements. A hybrid schedule supports two office days per week.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required
• Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required
• At least 2 years of electrical design experience is required
• Understanding of IBC and Accessibility Codes
• Working knowledge of electrical building systems
• Proficiency in REVIT
• P.E. or on track for attaining P.E. (EIT preferred)
• Experience in lighting and related systems is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings and specifications detailing the Electrical System designed
• Prepare inspection and design reports and presentation materials
• Mentor and support studio culture through design development and in-person activities
• Participate in internal and external meetings and document discussions
• Perform routine tasks under general supervision using defined standards
• Travel to project sites or client offices as needed
• Represent Jacobs with internal and external personnel on significant matters
• Coordinate design with architects and other engineering disciplines
• Perform product research and assist with materials selection and system research
