Job summary

Jacobs Solutions Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Federal Buildings Group. The role focuses on coordination, development, and production of electrical design deliverables, taking ownership of accuracy and timeliness on projects, primarily in a hybrid office setting in Irvine.

You will work with a technical team across disciplines, progressing from basic to more complex design tasks while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards. The position requires U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
• 5+ years' Electrical design experience.
• Understanding of IBC and Accessibility Codes.
• Working knowledge of electrical building systems.
• Self-motivated, able to work in studio or remote environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work with a multidisciplinary design team.
• Proficiency in REVIT.
• P.E. or on track for attaining P.E. (EIT preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings and specifications detailing the Electrical System designed.
• Prepare inspection and design reports and presentation materials.
• Support studio culture through mentoring, design development and other in-person activities.
• Participate in internal and external meetings and document discussions.
• Perform routine tasks under general supervision using well-defined standards, procedures, and codes.
• Travel to project sites or client offices as needed to meet contract requirements.
• Represents Jacobs, with internal and external personnel, on significant matters.
• Coordinate design with architects and other engineering disciplines.
• Perform product research; assist project designers and project architects with materials selection and system research.
