Job summary

Stantec in the United States is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Designer to lead electrical design for projects, develop plans and calculations, and coordinate with architects, structural, and mechanical teams. The role requires strong client communication and field experience in delivering low voltage systems.

Position supports NY/Hauppauge locations with Hybrid opportunities and a focus on sustainable design and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Engineering Technology.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the Buildings Engineering industry preferred.
• Professional Engineering license is not required but pursuance of future licensure is encouraged.
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP is not required but pursuance of future certification is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Creates electrical design documentation using Revit / AutoCAD and guides junior staff.
• Supervises staff to develop skills and career goals.
• Leads design development through sketches, calculations, and models.
• Prepares and reviews site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details.
• Coordinates with other disciplines to ensure design intent.
