Job summary

Stantec's Buildings team in the United States is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our professional consulting group. The role leads the electrical design on complex projects and guides a team of engineers and designers through all project phases.

You will engage with clients to establish design criteria, review progress, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure compliance with building codes and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with lighting emphasis.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• Minimum 15 years of related professional experience preferred.
• LEED certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design on electrical systems for complex projects.
• Mentor and develop staff capabilities.
• Lead client meetings to establish design criteria and review progress.
• Coordinate project specifications with construction documents.
• Develop sketches, calculations, and diagrams for project design.
• Lead project coordination meetings with stakeholders.
