Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Designer to join a multidisciplinary group delivering design solutions for diverse markets. You’ll lead smaller projects, guide junior staff, and ensure electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems meet codes and standards.

Design work includes Revit/AutoCAD, calculations, and field coordination with clients. Open locations include NYC, Hauppauge NY, or Stamford CT, with opportunity to influence major projects and

Qualifications

BS in Electrical/Architectural Engineering or Engineering Technology.
Minimum 7 years in Buildings Engineering preferred.
Professional license not required but encouraged.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design tasks for power, lighting, fire alarm and low voltage systems.
Create designs with Revit and AutoCAD, and supervise junior staff.
Coordinate with disciplines to ensure design intent and code compliance.
Perform calculations, field site reviews, and prepare documentation.
Contribute to project meetings and value engineering efforts.
