Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Designer to join our Buildings team in New York area. You will lead electrical power, lighting, fire alarm and other LV systems on diverse projects, and guide junior staff while coordinating with architecture, structural, mechanical and civil teams.

You will perform design tasks, calculations, field work, and client interfacing, with opportunities to advance to senior levels in a collaborative, design-forward firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Engineering Technology.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Buildings Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license is not required but encouraged.
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP is not required but encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical design documentation using Revit/AutoCAD and guide junior staff.
• Lead design development through sketches, calculations, models, diagrams and details.
• Review site plans, floor plans and diagrams across project phases.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical and civil disciplines for design intent.
• Perform advanced electrical calculations and field reviews.
• Contribute to construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals and shop drawings.
