Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Project Designer to join our Buildings team in the United States, Pittsburgh region. You will lead electrical design for power, lighting, fire alarm and low voltage systems, while coordinating with architects, structural, mechanical, and civil teams on complex projects.

You will mentor junior staff, guide design development through calculations, models, and drawings, and supervise construction administration activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with emphasis.
• minimum 7 years in construction or related field preferred.
• PE license not required but encouraged in future licensure.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for power, lighting, fire alarm and low voltage systems.
• Supervise staff, mentor junior engineers and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Develop designs via sketches, calculations, models, diagrams and specs.
• Prepare site plans, floor plans, diagrams and details across project phases.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and assist field engineers on site.
