Job summary

Stantec in the United States (Northeast Buildings) seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee complex electrical design across healthcare, commercial, education, and industrial facilities. You will lead a team of electrical engineers and designers, drive technical standards, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.

You will review drawings, calculations, and specifications, ensuring code compliance and sustainable design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with lighting/electrical emphasis.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• LEED credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design on multiple projects, providing full documentation for construction and renovation.
• Mentor staff and guide career development.
• Lead client meetings to set criteria and review progress.
• Coordinate electrical systems design and project specifications.
• Develop designs via sketches, calculations, and models.
• Perform QA/QC and lead cross-functional teams.
