Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Northeast Engineering group. You will act as overall technical lead on complex projects, guiding a team of electrical engineers and designers through all phases, from concept to construction administration, across healthcare, commercial, and industrial facilities.

This role offers possibilities across multiple Northeast locations, including Hauppauge, NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with lighting emphasis.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects with design teams to develop full documentation for new construction and renovation projects.
• Supervise staff and mentor to develop skills and careers.
• Lead client meetings to establish design criteria and review progress through construction.
• Lead selection and engineering of electrical systems and products for projects.
• Coordinate project specifications with construction documents.
• Develop design through sketches, calculations, models, diagrams.
