Job summary

Stantec's Buildings team seeks an experienced Electrical Designer to craft electrical systems across diverse architectural and engineering projects. You'll design low- and high-voltage power, distribution, energy storage, lighting, and fire alarm systems for mission critical facilities, laboratories, healthcare, manufacturing, and corporate developments.

Collaborate with architects and engineers, develop coordinated documentation, and mentor junior staff while maintaining QA standards and site

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs that meet project objectives, codes, and engineering standards.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and well-coordinated construction documentation.
• Plan and manage project workloads to align with schedules and budgets.
• Perform and/or supervise electrical load studies, system analysis, and calculations.
• Size and specify equipment and develop system applications.
• Coordinate design solutions with architectural teams and other engineering disciplines.
• Maintain organized project files, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project team members.
