Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Designer to join our Buildings team in the New York area. You will work on larger projects and lead smaller projects under guidance, designing electrical power, lighting, fire alarm and other low voltage systems while ensuring code compliance and design intent.

You will use Revit and AutoCAD, perform calculations, field work, and coordinate with architectural, structural and MEP disciplines.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of electrical engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas clearly.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution and lighting systems for built environments.
• Experience with construction processes and construction administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical design documentation using Revit/AutoCAD and guide junior staff.
• Lead design development through sketches, calculations, and diagrams.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other disciplines to ensure design intent.
