Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to guide the design of data center projects, serving as SME, mentor, and resource for engineers and designers. The role includes leading technical discussions, supervising staff, and ensuring quality across the design process to meet client needs.

Openness to multiple locations with a Stantec presence is noted. The ideal candidate has mission critical/data center experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Autodesk,

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years related industry experience preferred.
• Mission critical / data center experience required.
• PE license or other professional certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist business development in new project pursuits by contributing to RFPs/RFQs and supporting interviews.
• Manage technical project process and scope within own discipline, track schedule and budget.
• Delegate tasks to project engineers and designers within own discipline.
• Follow QA/QC processes and obtain approvals from the technical authority.
• Build and maintain strong client relations; articulate design requirements and progress.
• Lead technical discussions and align design with project objectives.
• Coordinate with all disciplines to integrate design and client requests.
• Act as supervisor and mentor to the design team and support staff development.
• Engage in professional community activities to stay current with industry standards.
