Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Engineer, Electrical for our Mission Critical Facilities group. You will guide the electrical design of data center projects, act as a mentor to junior staff, and coordinate with engineers and designers to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

With 10+ years in the field and PE certification, you’ll lead technical discussions, ensure QA/QC, and help develop design guides while staying current with evolving data center standards and technologies.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 10+ years related industry experience preferred.
• Mission critical/data center experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the business development team in new project pursuits by providing input on RFPs/RFQs and participates in project interviews and presentations.
• Manages technical project process and scope of work within own discipline; reviews and tracks scope, schedule, and budgeted hours; finds and resolves all inconsistencies with project manager.
• Delegates tasks to project engineers and designers within own discipline as appropriate.
• Follows quality management process; conducts project reviews and approvals before all QA/QC reviews done by the technical authority.
• Builds and maintains strong client relations; articulate project and design requirements, progress, challenges, and troubleshooting to clients and technical staff.
• Leads technical discussions and mechanical workgroups with project stakeholders as their trusted advisor, adapts design to meet objectives.
• Coordinates with all disciplines to integrate work and client requests into design.
• Acts as supervisor and resource to technical design team; supports staff education and development.
