Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical discipline across multiple data center projects through pursuit, design, and construction. You will act as the engineer of record, guide junior staff, and coordinate power distribution, lighting, telecom, and fire alarm systems.

You will travel to project sites for surveys, collaborate with clients’ teams, and ensure adherence to NFPA, NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UFC, UBC and IEC standards while mentoring staff in design software

Qualifications

BS in electrical engineering or equivalent. 8+ years of relevant experience in engineering.
State-issued professional engineering license preferred.
Understanding of telecom and fire alarm design including prescriptive, performance-based design as well as full detailed design

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design for data center projects across pursuit, proposal, design and construction phases.
Serve as engineer of record and mentor other electrical staff.
Coordinate with project teams for power distribution, lighting, telecom and fire alarm systems.
Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection for system studies and collaboration with clients’ team members.
Develop strong industry relationships with other design professionals.
Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UFC, UBC and IEC.
Fluency in design and modelling software (AutoCAD, Revit, Elum Tools, BIM360, SKM, ETAP, EDSA, Easy Power).
Perform various system studies (arc flash, load, short circuit, coordination).
