Job summary

Jacobs in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking an Electrical Construction Technical Services Lead to provide leadership on technical interpretation of drawings and specifications, expediting responses from the home office as needed to meet project schedules.

You will liaise with home office engineering, AHJs, and subcontractors on a world-class data center project, lead the construction document management process, mentor your team, and ensure revisions and nonconformities are resolved efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial facilities including life sciences and datacenters.
• Understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes, and standards.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience with certified technical training.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving in-progress issues related to drawings and specifications; expedite home office responses to meet project needs.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting engineering documents and input to change management processes.
