Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Construction Technical Services Lead for a data center project in Corpus Christi, TX. You will liaise with home office engineering, provide on-site technical support, and manage drawings and specifications with revision control as the field moves forward.

The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering or construction management for heavy-industrial facilities, plus the ability to read drawings and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electrical engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial facilities.
• Ability to interpret home office engineering documents.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to read electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical leadership and interpretation of engineering documents and drawings.
• Engage in permit processes with AHJs and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Collaborate with design-build contractors as they move to field operations.
• Oversee and guide document control and revision management for drawings and specs.
• Lead construction document management processes and provide guidance to the team.
• Respond to contractor requests for specification deviations within approved processes.
• Work with field quality, contractor, and home office engineering to resolve NCRs.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the team toward objectives.
