Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Construction Technical Services Lead for our Corpus Christi, TX project. You will liaise with home office engineering, outside firms, and clients to interpret documents and manage drawings in a revision-controlled environment.

You will partner with field teams, AHJs, and contractors, mentoring staff to deliver reliable technical outcomes on data center construction projects within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electrical engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial facilities including life sciences and datacenters.
• Understanding of construction means, methods, codes, and standards.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate liaison with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting engineering documents and drawings, including input to change management.
• Engage in permitting processes with AHJs.
• Work with design-build contractors in the field.
• Lead construction document management and revision control of drawings and documents.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the team to meet objectives.
• Resolve nonconformities with field quality and engineering teams.
