Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Construction Technical Services Lead for a Corpus Christi, TX data center project. You will liaise across home office engineering, external firms, and clients while providing on-site technical support and coordinating document management.

You will lead the technical team, interface with AHJs, and drive resolution of nonconformities, with a strong emphasis on communication, leadership, and field engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electrical engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial facilities.
• Understanding of construction means, methods, codes, and standards.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, including certified technical training.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting engineering documents and drawings.
• Engage with AHJs and permitting processes.
• Collaborate with design-build contractors in field activities.
• Manage receipt and revision control of drawings and documents.
• Lead construction document management and coordinate with a document control lead.
• Respond to requests for specification deviations within approved processes.
• Work with field quality, contractor, and home office engineering to resolve NCRs.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the team.
