Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Construction Technical Services Lead for a Corpus Christi, TX project. You will guide technical interpretation, liaise with home office engineers, and support field construction teams on complex datacenter facilities.

This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with multiple stakeholders, and robust knowledge of electrical drawings and standards to ensure project success and compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial facilities including datacenters and life sciences.
• Understanding of construction means, methods, codes, and standards.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with certified technical training.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance in resolving in-progress issues, discrepancies, or disputes related to technical interpretation of drawings and specifications; expediting home office responses to meet project needs.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting engineering documents and drawings, including input to change management.
• Engage in the permitting process with AHJs and coordinate with design-build contractors in the field.
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors for revision-controlled drawings and documents.
• Lead construction document management with oversight from a document control lead.
• Direct and mentor your team toward project objectives.
