Job summary

Jacobs in Corpus Christi, TX seeks an Electrical Construction Technical Services Specialist to resolve on-site issues, interpret drawings, and support engineering releases on world-class data center projects.

You will liaison with home office engineering, external firms, and clients, ensure revision control, participate in permitting, and mentor junior team members while contributing to project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-7 years of experience in electrical engineering or 8-10 years in heavy-industrial construction management.
• A basic understanding of construction means, methods, codes, and standards.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.

Responsibilities

• Engage in resolving in-progress issues related to technical interpretation of drawings and specifications.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting engineering documents and drawings, including change management input.
• Engage in permitting processes and with AHJs.
• Collaborate with Design-Build contractors as they move to the field.
• Ensure revision control for all construction documents and updates to contractors.
• Manage timely information on potential design/design-installation changes.
• Support Field Quality, contractors, and Home Office Engineering to resolve NCRs.
• Mentor and guide junior team members toward objectives.
