Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Construction Technical Services Lead to drive on-site leadership for world‑class data center projects in Corpus Christi, TX. You will interpret drawings, manage technical issues, and coordinate with home office engineering and client representatives.

You’ll lead document control, support permitting, and mentor a project team, collaborating with design‑build contractors to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy‑industrial facilities.
• Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience with certified technical training.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site technical support interpreting drawings and specs; clarify and expedite responses.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside firms, and client representatives.
• Engage in permitting processes and with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
• Work with Design‑Build contractors as their work moves to the field.
• Oversee construction document management and lead a document control lead.
• Ensure effective communication with subcontractors for revision‑controlled drawings.
• Respond to requests for specification deviations within the approved process.
• Collaborate with Field Quality, contractor, and Home Office Engineering to resolve NCRs.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the team.
