Job summary

Capital Electric in Lynchburg, VA is hiring a Counter Sales associate to sell electrical products, assist customers with selections, and build relationships to keep Capital Electric the distributor of choice.

The role requires basic High School education, potential sales/electrical knowledge, and comfort with lifting up to 50 lbs. Training is provided for the right candidate, with opportunities to grow within the Sonepar family.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Sales experience or electrical knowledge preferred; training provided.
• Strong math, verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy, including MS Office.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb (70 lb occasionally).
• Reliable, responsible, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls.
• Greet walk-in customers.
• Assist customers with orders and product selection.
• Pull customer orders from warehouse to counter.
• Prepare sales tickets and process payments.
• Promote and sell product promotions.
• Assist with certain warehouse duties.
• Meet monthly sales and gross margin targets.
• Provide courteous and professional service.
• Multi-task and prioritize daily tasks.
• Perform other duties as required.
