Capital Electric in Apex, NC is hiring a Counter Sales associate to sell electrical products to contractors, assist customers with product selection, and nurture relationships to secure Capital Electric as the distributor of choice.

The role requires high school education and sales or electrical knowledge; training is provided. A strong work ethic and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are essential. Full-time with benefits, located in Apex, NC.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred, but training provided.
• Good and dependable math, verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer and MS Office literate.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• Reliable, responsible, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls.
• Greet walk-in customers.
• Assist customers with orders and product selection.
• Pull customer orders from warehouse and bring to counter.
• Prepare sales tickets and process charges.
• Promote and sell promotions.
• Assist with warehouse tasks as needed.
• Meet monthly sales and gross margin targets.
• Maintain courtesy and professionalism toward customers.
• Multitask and prioritize tasks throughout the day.
• Perform other duties as required.
