Capital Electric in Durham, NC is hiring a Counter Sales associate to sell electrical products, assist customers with product selection, and build strong customer relationships. Responsibilities include handling calls, greeting walk-in customers, processing orders, and supporting warehouse tasks.

The role emphasizes meeting monthly sales goals, promoting promotions, and maintaining courteous service while leveraging basic math and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• Sales experience and/or Electrical Knowledge preferred, but will train the right candidate.
• Good and dependable mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Computer and MS Office literate.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
• Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls
• Greet walk-in customers
• Assist customer with order and provide appropriate product selection
• Pick customer order from warehouse and bring to counter
• Prepare customer sales ticket and charge accordingly
• Promote and sell company’s product promotions
• Provide assistance to certain warehouse functions
• Reach monthly goals in sales and gross margin
• Courtesy and politeness toward customers
• Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day
• Other duties as required
