Job summary

Capital Electric, a Capital Electric distributor within the Sonepar group, seeks a Counter Sales associate to sell electrical products and assist customers with selections at our MD location. The role includes processing sales, supporting warehouse tasks, and striving toward monthly sales and margin goals.

Training will be provided for the right candidate. Ideal candidates have high school or GED, some sales or electrical knowledge, and strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred, but training provided.
• Good math, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Computer and MS Office literate.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls
• Greet walk-in customers
• Assist customer with order and provide appropriate product selection
• Pick customer order from warehouse and bring to counter
• Prepare customer sales ticket and charge accordingly
• Promote and sell company’s product promotions
• Provide assistance to certain warehouse functions
• Reach monthly goals in sales and gross margin
• Courtesy and politeness toward customers
• Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day
• Other duties as required
