Job summary

Capital Electric in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Counter Sales associate to help customers select products, answer questions and develop relationships that keep Capital Electric the electrical distributor of choice.

You will handle incoming calls, greet walk-in customers, assist with orders, prepare sales tickets and promote promotions. A high school diploma and good math, verbal and written communication skills are required; sales or electrical knowledge is preferred but training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification is High School or GED.
• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred; training provided.
• Good mathematics, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls.
• Greet walk-in customers.
• Assist customer with order and product selection.
• Pick customer order from warehouse and bring to counter.
• Prepare customer sales ticket and charge accordingly.
• Promote and sell company promotions.
• Provide assistance to warehouse functions.
• Reach monthly sales and gross margin targets.
