Job summary

Rosendin Electric, a national leader in electrical contracting, seeks an Engineering Team Lead to provide technical engineering oversight and design team management for assigned projects. You will oversee financials, resource allocation, and staff development, mentoring engineers, designers, and modeling staff, and coordinating with PMs and owners.

The role demands PE licensure, 8+ years of engineering experience, strong communication, and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of Engineering Experience.
• Registration as a licensed US-based Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required for this position.
• Field experience is strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Possess the ability to understand project requirements and develop a design fee for the work requested.
• Prepare and oversee work plans for engineering and production resources.
• Oversee Engineers, Designers and Modeling staff assigned to team or project work.
• Ability to communicate with Project Manager (PM) or Executive regarding effort required to accomplish an expected deliverables and project support.
• Lead the Engineering CAC effort and interaction with the project PM.
• Able to resolve a variety of complex problems (i.e. conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
• Supervise the coordination of the project with city, state, and county officials, and other regulatory agencies
• Attendance at project design meetings with the overall Design Build Team.
• Job Site Visits to review installation or assess current conditions.
• Perform Value Engineering studies.
• Act as Engineer of Record for projects within their responsibility.
