Zusammenfassung

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a mid-level Engineer II, Electrical BoP to support electrical power systems across renewables assets. You will perform short-circuit studies, arc flash analyses, ETAP modeling, and coordinate protective devices while ensuring NERC compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a BS/MS in electrical engineering with 3+ years of power systems experience, and can travel to job sites as needed. Office-based with some travel and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifikationen

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or Physics.
• EIT preferred, PE pursuit.
• 3+ years in power systems engineering with short-circuit and arc flash experience.
• 3+ years operating and analyzing high voltage power systems equipment.
• 3+ years in electric power generation or generation management.

Aufgaben

• Perform and review short-circuit studies and arc flash analyses.
• Recommend mitigation strategies to reduce incident energy.
• Prepare one-line diagrams and protective device coordination.
• Develop and maintain electrical system models using ETAP.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather data and inputs.
• Support NERC standards (PRC-019, PRC-024) analyses as needed.
• Streamline processes and methodologies for power system studies.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, NEC, NESC, OSHA.
