Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC seeks a mid-level Engineer II, Electrical BoP to support balance-of-plant electrical systems for renewable assets in the United States. The role involves short-circuit and arc flash analysis, ETAP modeling, and NRC/NERC compliance tasks in collaboration with Operations, Asset Management, and Development teams.

The candidate should have around 3 years of power-systems experience, familiarity with substation/BOP equipment, and be able to read single-line and three-line diagrams

Qualifications

• 3+ years in power systems engineering with short-circuit and arc flash studies.
• Experience with high voltage power systems equipment and generation/renewable contexts.
• Familiarity with NERC standards (PRC-019, PRC-024) and protective device coordination.

Responsibilities

• Perform short-circuit studies and arc flash analyses for electrical systems.
• Develop and maintain electrical system models using ETAP.
• Review system documentation and support NERC compliance studies.
• Coordinate with project teams and clients to gather data.
