RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a mid-level Engineer II, Electrical BoP to support electrical power systems across renewable assets. The role emphasizes BOP components, protective relaying, and ETAP modeling with a focus on reliability and compliance.

The candidate should have 3 years of experience in power systems, familiarity with substation/BOP equipment, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with short-circuit and arc flash studies in power systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review short-circuit studies and arc flash hazard analyses for electrical systems.
• Recommend mitigation strategies to reduce incident energy levels.
• Prepare technical documentation including one-line diagrams and device coordination.
• Develop and maintain electrical system models using ETAP.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather data and validate inputs.
• Support NERC standards and conduct studies to meet compliance.
• Coordinate processes and methodologies for power system studies.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, NEC, NESC, OSHA.
