Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to drive the setup and management of Revit BIM models. You will coordinate with electrical leads and other disciplines to deliver fully coordinated 3D models and 2D drawings in line with project standards.

Successful candidates will bring at least 3 years of BIM design experience, a solid understanding of electrical systems, and a focus on quality, coordination, and timely deliverables within a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in electrical systems design and the construction industry.
• A growing understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions.
• A growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to a circuit or a link between devices and equipment.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling efforts based on provided mark-ups and/or verbal direction requests.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Design documentation and management of Revit BIM models across disciplines.
• Coordinate with discipline leads and team members.
• Produce 2D construction drawings and 3D models.
• Ensure models align with Jacobs and client BIM standards.
