Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to lead Revit BIM modeling, clash-free 3D content, and 2D construction drawings across disciplines. You will coordinate with discipline leads to deliver constructible designs in line with Jacobs standards, using Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in BIM design and electrical systems, familiarity with Bluebeam, and strong communication skills. This role supports a hybrid work model with opportunities across U.S.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years of electrical systems design experience.
• Growing understanding of codes and standards shaping design decisions.
• Growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to estimate hours for design and modeling from mark-ups.

Responsibilities

• Design documentation and BIM model set-up and management.
• Coordinate with discipline BIM leads and team members.
• Create and manage fully coordinated 3D models across disciplines.
• Create 2D construction drawings.
• Follow Jacobs design standards and processes.
• Collaborate with designers, architects and engineers to realize design intent.
